REACH when you must do it

December 2008

Pre-registration ends as of 1st Dec 2008. You must have pre-registered your usage, projected tonnage and purpose by this date.

Remember if you miss this date you will not be able to trade in any non-registered chemcials.

January 2009

You will be allocated to a SIEF by the ECHA which is basically a group of similar businesses using similar chemicals and tonnages to allow sharing of information and cost of overall chemcial analysis.

You do not have to be put in a SIEF but if you are not you will have to pay for the full chemcial analysis yourself, so SIEF's make sense.

November 2010

All companies with tonnage usage of any chemical over 1000 tonnes per annum or those companies using more than 1 tonne per annum of CMR or over 100 tonnes per annum of R50/53 must be fully registered by this date.

June 2013

All companies with tonnage usage of any chemical over 100 tonnes per annum must be fully registered by this date.

June 2018

All companies with tonnage usage of any chemical over 1 tonnes per annum must be fully registered by this date.
